On Friday, Mass High Tech highlighted a start-up tech company in each state in New England outside of MA that, amid these turbulent economic times, has continued to show growth.
VBrick Systems of Wallingford, CT was the Connecticut company featured in the article. According to the article, VBrick, a tech company in the network video space, closed an $11.9 million venture round late in 2008, with Menlo Ventures, Morgan Stanley and RedShift Ventures.
A MHT mentions, it’s important to keep in mind that there are still opportunities out there, and, as I’ve mentioned in many of my previous posts (e.g. Incubating in Connecticut), I think that it’s the entrepreneurial spirit of companies like VBrick that will help pull the state and the country out of these slow market conditions.
